Job Description:
Informatica Developer
ETL Developer will be responsible for architecture, design, development of ETL in a VLDB environment, data needs to be extracted, transformed and loaded to an Oracle 11g database. Ability to tune queries is a plus.
Development Responsibilities
Creation of ETL specifications, mappings and workflows in Informatica. Emphasis on ETL Architecture, Design, Best Practices and Hands-On Implementation
Architect ETL for maximum reusability
Design and develop Informatica workflow and jobs Design tactics for data cleansing upon load
Performance tune ETL and database access
Work closely with Data Designers on new ETL's. Work with DBA on physical optimizations and query tuning
Must Have Technical skills
Minimum 2-3 years total ETL development experience. Expert level development using Informatica PowerCenter 8.6
5+ yrs Oracle experience * SQL (must be very strong in SQL) – Oracle 11g experience is mandatory.
Technical Skills (Good To have)
Unix scripting , Scheduling tool (UC4) experience.
Soft Skills Ability to work towards aggressive deadlines and deliverables. Team player that is also self-motivated Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to analyze and solve problems and work with the team to identify and fix the root cause of the problems (be it data quality, performance, or programmatic) Life cycle experience in large complex systems
