Description

As a Control Design Engineer, you’ll work closely with the CTO to define the next generation of their concepts and products. They are constantly evaluating new applications for their Active Disturbance Rejection Control (ADRC), while investigating enhancements that improve performance and ease of use. Controls Design role includes control-related research, design, and development to take the ADRC concept in new directions, for new applications.


Responsibilities

 Advanced software control design to advance the ADRC control concept

 Application of ADRC concept to new markets

 System modeling, simulation and fast prototyping

 Analysis and problem-solving while deploying products and solutions

 Blue-sky research that will enable higher performance and easier implementation


Requirements

 3-5 years of independent control design and software development on PID, loop shaping, and observer-based controllers

 Solid knowledge and modeling ability of physical systems, including motion, temperature, fluid, pressure, etc.

 Demonstrated grasp of closed-loop control design, time-domain and frequency-domain derivation, and stability analysis such as Bode and Nyquist, performance and robustness.

 Strong ability to identify and address control-related issues in dynamic systems

 Expertise in C/C++ and Matlab/Simulink

 Proven organizational, time management, problem solving, and analytical skills

 Master’s degree required, Ph.D in a field related to controls preferred


Desired Experience

 Deploying controls in PLCs or industrial drives

 Developing controls software for semiconductor platforms

 Semiconductor platform development

 Power supply switching-mode design
